CASITA LUNA – Seeking an Architect to Build a Boutique Homestay Concept in Siargao
Creating an oasis for rest and reconnection – to be built
Inspired by the island life, tropical sunsets, and Siargao’s natural beauty, Casita Luna is envisioned as a calm and elevated island escape.
The concept began as a dream to create a place where guests can slow down, move gently, and reconnect with nature – in full comfort. Conceptualised with general wellness in mind, Casita Luna will embrace natural textures, open spaces that breathe, and a relaxed indoor–outdoor flow.
The development will include a private house, private rooms, shared accommodations, a flexible wellness space, and tranquil outdoor areas that integrate with the surrounding landscape. Core to the experience is our commitment to comfort and reliability, with essentials such as hot showers, strong water pressure, and a fully functioning generator to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted stay.
Casita Luna is yet to be built, and we are currently seeking an architect who resonates with the vision and is interested in collaborating on the full development of this project.
What We’re Looking For ~
Vision Alignment
The right architect will share our dream of creating something beautiful, natural, and intimate – a place that doesn’t compete with its surroundings but enhances them. We’re looking for someone who listens deeply and forms design concepts from the spirit of the land.
Project Management Skills
We value architects who communicate clearly, organise their process well and set realistic expectations. Someone who provides structure: clear timelines, transparent revisions, documentation, and consistent updates.
Strong Masterplanning
Casita Luna will include rooms, a shala, gardens, and a private home. We need an architect who can thoughtfully plan for circulation and privacy. One who can visualise how a guest would move through the space and design the site in a holistic way.
Human Centred Designing
Casita Luna is meant to feel like a place where breathing comes easier. We’re looking for someone who designs for emotions as well as function, someone who believes good design should make you feel something.
On-ground Knowledge
Island projects have unique challenges: material sourcing, labour costs, transport delays and weather unpredictability. We’re seeking someone who designs with real constraints in mind and can create solutions – nothing that won’t last in a tropical setting.
Sustainable Thinking
We’re looking for an architect who designs with the long-term health of the land, community, and environment in mind. Casita Luna should be built conscious water and energy use, and a mindset that avoids unnecessary waste.
